[S13E14] Star Crossed ((EXCLUSIVE))

  • This episode contains examples of: Abusive Parents: Tina's father was very verbally abusive towards her.

  • Berserk Button: Delgado does not like being called stupid.

  • Bland-Name Product: The "Sorkin" (Hermes Birkin) bag.

  • Childhood Friend Romance: Delgado and Tina, who have been together since middle school.

  • Consummate Liar: Tina

  • Even Evil Has Standards: Conners is a bastard of an incompetent defense attorney, but the moment Tina plays her hand too hard and shows just how much she'd been manipulating him, he turns the case over to McCoy in full and washes his hands of the mess.

  • Exact Words: Conners using the exact same phrase as Tina's father tips off Southerlyn that Tina has been manipulating him to get her out of jail time.

  • Freudian Excuse: Olivet theorizes Tina went into fashion design so she could earn her father's approval by looking pretty.

  • Kick the Dog: Conners doesn't really treat Delgado with much grace, even calling a man with a learning disability as having "scrambled brains", and would've gotten him convicted for full murder despite being his attorney. Not helped by Tina pushing him to do it.

  • Punch-Clock Villain: Conners does the bare minimum to defend his clients. In fact, he hasn't been to a trial in years since he usually avoids it by asking for a plea deal. McCoy claims his nickname is "What Are You Offering?"

  • Rich Bitch: Tina seems to be one. Subverted when it turns out she's been lying the whole time about being from a wealthy family.

  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: Tina appears to have been motivated by wanting her abusive father's approval.

She explains that her sons stopped the war in her world, as Bobby tells her that she made the right choice. Bobby says that she did good by her sons, and Bobby refused to go with them after they offered him a chance. He's pretty much all the alternate reality has. Bobby asks what Jack is, and Mary explains that Jacks is a Nephilim. Horrified, Bobby wonders why Mary brought Jack into his camp. He tells Mary that he wants Jack gone, and Mary says that she'll go with him. Bobby says that they thought the angels were on their side, but each one turned on them and Jack will eventually.
